Existing Homes inventory for sale declined 0.7 percent to 3.82 million in June 2009. The median national home price was pegged at $181,800 for June, a 15.4 percent decline from when compared to June of 2008. However, this year the median price for June has risen 4.0 percent over May's median home price, the highest level seen since October 2008.

National Existing Home Sales have risen for the third straight month and home prices have risen slowly to the highest level seen since fall of 2008 according to a breaking Reuters news article.
According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) existing home sales in June 2009 rose by an annual rate of 4.89 million units, compared with a downwardly revised 4.72 million pace in May. These numbers beat estimates of 4.84 million forecasted for June.
Locatlly, the Greenville SC Home market has seen gradual improvement since Jan and Feb of this year. Our local Greenville Home Sales have edged up just about every month since the beginning of 2009.

For those who enjoy hiking, camping, Kayaking, and boating, Upstate South Carolina definitely has much to offer! This week's view is of Caesar's Head as viewed from Table Rock Lake. This was the perfect day for kayaking and photos! The water color, green trees, and clear blue sky made for an excellent shot.

Greenville real estate sales extended gaines in June to 673 homes from 583 in May, and posted the fifth consecutive month of rising sales, according to data released today by the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors.
Home sales and real estate values were off in first quarter of 2009 yet have been picking up month by month of this year. There are definitely encouraging signs in the Greenville SC Real Estate Market.
In June 2008, there were 856 home sales recorded compared to 673 homes in June of 2009. So the numbers are still off but improving. Also one must keep in mind that 2008 was a very strong year for Greenville Home Sales.
