It was just recently announced that Clemson University (my alumni) has climped the ranks from 34 to 30 on US News & World Reports top Public Universities. The rankings are online at: www.usnews.com. According to the report, Clemson has improved in graduation rates, class size, and quality of students. Numerous other South Carolina schools ranked well in other categories. These would include: The University of South Carolina's Moore School of International Business which kept its number one rank as the best undergraduate International Business Program. Overall USC ranked 54th among public institutions. Furman Universty ranked 41st among Liberal Arts colleges and Wofford ranked 57th. All of these schools have received National recognition in the past and all are within commuting distance of Greenville. Furman is an easy 15 minutes north of Greenville, Clemson is about 30 miles southeast of Greenville, and USC's Spartanburg Campus is within an hour's drive of Greenville.
