National Existing Home Sales have risen for the third straight month and home prices have risen slowly to the highest level seen since fall of 2008 according to a breaking Reuters news article.
According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) existing home sales in June 2009 rose by an annual rate of 4.89 million units, compared with a downwardly revised 4.72 million pace in May. These numbers beat estimates of 4.84 million forecasted for June.
Locatlly, the Greenville SC Home market has seen gradual improvement since Jan and Feb of this year. Our local Greenville Home Sales have edged up just about every month since the beginning of 2009.
If you are a buyer trying to time the bottom of the market, this may very well be it! Additionally the $8,000 dollar tax credit from the government does expire in December of this year. Furthermore, interest rates are still very low right now and Greenville SC Home prices are still competitive.
