The Greenville South Carolina Real Estate Market Still Strong

Despite a national slow down in real estate sales and prices in 2006, the Greenville SC Real Estate market is bucking the trend with stronger year to date sales over last year and an overall increase in median prices over last year (2005) as well. Statistics from the Greenville Multiple Listing service show a grand total of 7861 homes sold from Jan 1st 06 through Sept 30th 2006 while last year’s year to date sold numbers came in at 7189 total units. This is an increase of 9.3% over 2005. Currently median Greenville home prices for 2006 are also up 6.6% over 2005 as well. These numbers reveal a robust and growing real estate market that is backed by a strong demand for new and existing homes. If you consider the numbers, you may very well conclude that the Greenville Home Market is not only a great place to live but also a great place to invest.
